Year of composition 2006/2020.
for 12 solo voices or mixed choir
The words of the composition Sha Na I are not of any spoken language, but yet they are a kind of language. The words don’t mean anything, but they can say a lot. As well as vowels and consonants create meaning in spoken – and sung – languages, Sha Na I forms images and affections. This artificial language is not able not tell anything explicit and that could be the strength of the composition Sha Na I.
