The original version for mixed choir was commissioned by Tapiola Chamber Choir in 1994. This version dates back to 1997.
This Pseudo-Yoik has nothing to do with the genuine traditional Lappish or Saame yoik, and should thus be considered to have the same degree of authenticity as local colour in bel canto opera. The text exists merely to give form to the music and is meaningless.
In case someone is wondering (someone always is), NT stands for No Trebles.
