The Christmas Star
Hamilton David8,20€
Description
For their year 2000 carol service the Junior School at Diocesan School for Girls took as their theme ‘stars’. This text was written by the Head of the Junior School, Deirdre McOnie, and given to David Hamilton to turn into a choral setting. It includes many of the familiar images of Christmas associated with the star which lead the wise men to Bethlehem.
The flute part can be played by any suitable instrument, or even two or more players in unison. For some instruments octave transpositions may have to be made in places. The piece can also be performed satisfactorily without the flute part.
A separate flute part is included.
